Question for teenagers

Fri Oct 08, 2010 5:33 pm

After this incident on the train i have this view and question. I would like honest and frank opinions from teenagers on this board, and also views from the oldies amongst us.

When i go on the train not just for football or in the street youngsters have got to swear constantly, not even quietly!! and especially if they see someone with young kids or OAPs.
Why do you do that ? me personally yeah i swear like a trooper but if i see young kids i do curb it, perhaps its the upbringing i had that you shouldn't swear in front of kids OAPs and women. Yeah i know with the latter one they are worse than blokes but for me a girl that constantly swears is a bit of a turn off. And in the house i dont swear i just dont do it it feels wrong.
But for kids today they seem to think they are shocking people by swearing but nowadays it doesn't what does shock me is if i hear a group of teens that don't swear .
But i know my Mrs would pipe up if someone was constantly swearing when our boy was younger its called respect and its something which is sadly missing these days. Teens want respect themselves but it got to be a two way thing.

Opinions please  .

The second day running Ive been asked to talk about them.

Hi Annis

My name is Raj, I produce a show called Young London on LBC radio in London. We are doing a piece on young people becoming involved in football hooliganism, and I was wondering if you might be free to do a short interview tomorrow at 1330 with us?

It would only take a few minutes and you would be talking to our presenter Nick Conrad.

Let me know if you are interested.

thanks

Don't get me started. I went to Leicester with CCSC. I was the youngest one on the coach (I'm 22) and it didn't matter who we drove past, old people, dads with small kids, women, families etc nearly everyone on the bus apart from me was flicking v's, making hand gestures and swearing. It was really embarrassing. As soon as they got off the bus and mixed in with leicester fans, they behaved themselves. Funny that. They wear a bit of Henry Lloyd and they think they're hooligans. It was mortifying.

I meant I was the oldest one on the coach!

If there are young kids/OAP's about, then I'll make sure I don't swear, but generally, it's just a habit of being brought up in a shite area.

I NEVER swear in front of kids, most Women or in the street under normal circumstances. :old: Different in the pub after a few drinks though. :)

Its simple a lot of teens these day have no manners or respect for anyone or anything, i was a bit of a bugger when i was a teen, fighting, excluded from school ect but i always had respect for the old and women ect
