help needed re:- house alarm

is any 1 on here familiar with house alarms and the set up(back up battery problem)
having problems with mine its an A.D.T. system fitted a few years ago but no longer monitored and maintained by the company. if any1 works in this field please tell me and i will p.m my problem and hopefully get to sort the problem out
