After that prick Russell Martin doing the swim away at the Southampton game it's nice to see a former Bluebird giving some back to the vermin.

Well done Wes!

Wes Burns from Barry, Tom Lockyer from Cardiff both released by us at 16- may have been at the same time. Lockyer captain of a Premier League side, Wes Burns playing an important role in a side that could be there next season. Says it all!!

Then both go and cut their teeth in the lower leagues. If we'd have signed them from Fleetwood and Bristol Rovers then the same people who moan about us releasing them would be moaning we have no ambition!!

They've done well. But we also can't predict the future.

On the original point. Burns was celebrating with his brother in the crowd. Big City fan.

Difference is at moment they can score goals. We struggle to get 1 in 5

We didn't need to sign them they were already with us!!! I am sure I must be wrong but in the 8 years since they left I cant think of anyone who has come through and nailed down a first team place or been sold for a decent fee. Hopefully Colwill will be the exception. Though we were tucked up with Matando
