I've just had a nose through Swiss Ramble's reports in their website and they have other club's like Stoke with much higher wage turnover than that graphic.

While it is ridiculous it is probably a holdover from when we couldn't buy players so we had to offer the freebies more in wages to get anyone to come here, doubt we just hand over stupid money in wages for no reason. The problem now is that we can't get rid of people on the high wages because they're not worth anywhere near what we are paying them & nobody is going to give them the same amount so they're just running down their contracts now, Robinson being the worse offender.
