Ryan Kavanagh was straight into the action the day after moving to Cornwall. The midfielder, who has been out for a long time with injury but came back earlier this season, played a full 90 minutes on debut last Saturday in Truro's 2-1 defeat by Hampton & Richmond Borough.

Tom Davies at Kilmarnock

Tom Davies has had to be patient and bide his time at Kilmarnock but was rewarded at the weekend with a start and a full 90-minute outing in the 1-1 draw with Scottish Premiership rivals Motherwell.

The left-back, 20, has been a player some at Cardiff have spoken about for a couple of years, having made his debut under Mick McCarthy, but needed a real, senior loan to kick on this season after impressing in the Cymru Premier with Pontypridd United last term.

Two of Cardiff's centre-backs were signed by Scottish second-tier side Dunfermline Athletic in the winter window.

I’d rather them out on loan than staying at the club and not playing for us, to be fair.

But we do need to try and shift some of them permanently in the summer because being honest, many of them are nowhere near Championship standard.

Personally Ned,

I would rather us once again get rid of the lot of them, as usual we still have plenty of dead wood to get rid.

Will any of the young lads be able to push for the first team over the next season or two?

Eli King I think will, the others potentially not but depends on their performances on loan I guess.

As for the others, get rid, although that's a lot easier said than done

Perhaps we should loan them to Rugby clubs! Aaron Wainright and Alex Mann were both with our Academy and are now both Welsh Rugby Internationals!
My Grandson has played for our Academy for the past two years and his team have beaten Arsenal,Aston Villa,Everton,Southampton ,Leicester, drawn with Manchester City,Chelsea and Liverpool all away as Cat 1 Academies won’t play Cat 2’s at there home grounds! However they pick our best youngsters at 16 and foreign players at 18 so unless we get a Cat 1 Academy we will always struggle to bring our youngsters through to the first team unlike in the old days when not many foreigners played in the Football League.

Or to put it another way 5 goals in 10 matches, at an average of 2 games a month, that sounds better.
