OUR VERY OWN CHEGGERS

The gaffer at the Brunswick Hotel in Church Street, Merthyr has very kindly offered his pub for a Fred Keenor fundraiser tonight (and there are rumours of free curry).
Starts at 7.30 with an 8 o'clock start for the quiz chaired (fittingly) by the chairman of the Trust, Tim Hartley.
Teams of max 6 with a £2.50 entry charge for team members. Some great raffle prizes too.
C'mon guys, what else you gonna do on a Thursday night? Wait home all night for Carl's update?
Come and have some fun while you're waiting. You'll still get the news tonight when you get back on here - it won't hit the Echo till tomorrow.
It'll be great fun and raise money for a worthy cause. Help get the statue up. If you don't care about the statue or the Trust do it for Cheggers!!!!!!!!

Already given my appologies coz Ive got hosp visiting which I cant get out of 
..............but its going to be a good nite and well done to the Trust and Cheggs

Mike, If I had known about this, This Forum would have brought a team up, Cheggers has had family probs lately.

I think the statue fund people were waiting for a confirmed date for the quiz from Cheggers , so Mike was only able to announce it on here as recently as 30 September.

advertised on this and Mike's message board on September 17 and again a number of times after, in the Echo, Merthyr Express, the City programme, on Twitter and Facebook and on the Trust's own website.
But on the positive side there will be a curry night in Cardiff on November 4 to be attended by two/three City players (names to be confirmed) which should prove popular with admission restricted to just 140. More details in a few days.
