Would Bellamy make a good player/manager for Cardiff City if the position was Vacant. ?
Regarding Dave Jones, in My Opinion we have always fallen at the Final Hurdle because we have Never had a Leader on the pitch for us in the last 6 yrs(and of course because he has No plan B), DJ has been against the Hard man type etc Now This is Not a Snipe at DJ, I am just saying and Asking, Peoples Opinions, Not only do we know have a World Class player playing for us, But Surely for the first time in nearly 6 yrs DJ has allowed A Leader/a Passionate Player/Backbone/Bottle etc to lead us on the pitch and this is why We could finally make that Final Hurdle.
Just think back to the previous seasons, how many times we have bottled it and NO LEADER.

I think he would be great as manager, players respect him,he's worked under some brilliant managers over the years which would help him,I d love to see him manager here, and if we don't go up,I hope its next season.

I think Bellamy is that missing link.
He is a leader and has that bit of a b*stard about him that we usually fail to see in City sides.
That's why I was such a big Paul Ramsey fan... he never ever stopped organising, shouting and cajoling on the pitch. A real leader and a winner. Bellamy is cut from the same cloth and is a
slightly better player than Paul Ramsey

Annis, we bottled it in the Cup final, the last 4 games of two seasons ago and against Blackpool at Wembley. We very nearly screwed up against Leicester at home.
I finally think we got the midfielders (Drinkwater and Olofinjana) that we've needed in for the last 5 years, who could grab the game by the scruff of the neck and force something to happen when it isn't going our way.
Add to that a leader in Bellamy plus the attacking force we had last year.
I think we'll do it

In a few years time Bellamy as manager with DJ as a director of football type upsatirs who negotiates contracts etc.
He is getting the experience now isn't he

Simply a matter of time before Craig is in charge IMHO.

Mate he's an expert he has been in the game a long time, IF he could have got in the new ROY KEANE he would have, it's just finding them and affording them. Roger Johnson would have been an excellent leader, if we weren't skint and didn't have to sell him.
You have to remember he has previously been working under difficult circumstances and we are lucky to have kept him all these years !!!

Wonders never cease!
Would love Bellamy not now but in 5 yrs time as player manager, think it would be superb for us and for Wales!
Davey is on a deliverance promise, if he doesn't produce then its him! No excuses this year at all!

though bellamy has many attributes, his 1 problem could be his attitude,i think he is a very single minded individual and this is not what makes a good manager in football,B&Q or fllipping burgers.so i say no

HE said on five live that after he finishes playing he will take a few years out and appear as a coach all of a sudden in a random place.

Craigs knowledge of the game is second to none. He'd be a brilliant
motivator and coach, the players under him would give nothing less
than 100% on that pitch.
I dont think it would be with the players where CB would go wrong.
But imagine him getting shit from upstairs. You cant have this, you
cant have that, sell him etc etc etc...
I shudder to think what Bellers would do

You never know some players make good managers some do not, Mark Hughes is a good manager his welsh partner but great striker Ian Rush is hopeless as a manager.
Bells is the captain we have needed as we have not had a good captain for a long time, Purse was okish but look at the captains since, Ledley mcphail seems to weak Hudson seems not to say enough on the pitch Gerrard was a better shouter
Bothroyd got a good win record when he was captain.
Bells might be a good manager we will find out one day but who knows

After reading the report yesterday about CB laying down the law in the dressing room at Barnsley at half time, the thought also crossed my mind! As you say, currently the position is filled and if DJ has anything about him he'll use Craig's experience, leadership and standing in the game to good effect with the squad. However, it could become a bit of a dilemma for DJ if results don't go so well. I could not see a scenario with DJ Manager and CB as his assistant. It's "win promotion or jog on" for DJ as far as I'm concerned. Could CB do player - manager in the Championship? Or retire and do just manager at Cardiff?
Interesting thoughts.
Now I must return to my darkened room to contemplate Wales v Bulgaria again. I have locked away all sharp objects!
