Another Transfer Blow for Erol Bulut as Target Signs

Another Transfer blow for Bulut as Cardiff City target Umut Nayir has signed for Turkish side Pendikspor in a blow to the Bluebirds' transfer window.

By Glen Williams

January 2024

Erol Bulut's men were thoroughly outplayed by Leeds in a 3-0 demolition job at Cardiff City Stadium on Saturday afternoon, with the gulf between the two sides clear for all to see.

Erol Bulut:

"We try, we have many names on the list- striker, winger, midfielder, centre-back.”
“But it's everything about the finances we have and I don’t know where we are and how we can invest.”

“I try to make my best for Cardiff City until the end of the season, with this team or with new players, I hope, but I will try my best for this team until the end of the season.”

“I’m always positive, but it doesn’t make changes when I’m positive. I will be much, much more positive with new players coming in. I hope the following days, until the end of the window, we can finalise some transfers."

30 years old and no sell on value. Glad he's decided to stay in Turkey tbh.

You couldn't make up shit like this. Remind me again how old Moore is that people seem happy to spend 3 million quid on.

The difference is, Moore is proven at this level. And who is willing to spend £3 million on Moore?

I believe other clubs in the Championship would pay £3mill for Moore, as that’s peanuts if he can help you go up or make the play-offs.

There won't be many though who will cough up £3m in January. You'd like to think that Bournemouth would sign a replacement before allowing KM to leave.

People on here have mentioned him being worth 3 mill & that we should spend it on him like he's some sort of savior, which he's not. In my opinion 1 mill is more than enough for a 31 year old who had 1 good season with us a couple of years ago. I don't think any other championship club would be crazy enough to spend 3mill on a 31 year old KM or they would be lining up to do so right now, which they're not.

3 million might be peanuts to Annis but it's a lot of money for any 31 year old and his wages would have to be more than B/mouth are paying him which would probably make him our highest earner.

I think £1m is a fair price.
