We needed to get back to winning ways today, and we deservedly did.

But another poor mistake by Jamilu Collins nearly cost us.

It was a deserved win, QPR were awful for most of the game.

A bit concerning that we didn’t create much from open play but all that matters is the win.

Brilliant save by Jak Alnwick at the end to secure the win.


Next up Sheffield Wednesday away in the FA Cup.

Yeh Collins is nowhere near the same player before his injury , he’s quite sloppy at times , much needed win but I wish we kept going for it instead of dropping back again to let them come on to us ,

Most years, the high 40's should ensure survival, unless you're unlucky like Peterboro who got relegated with 54 points in our promotion season of 2012/13.

I reckon 4 or 5 more wins out of 20 games should see us OK.

Ned, I'll answer you directly, as the thread appears to have been hi-jacked into a separate 'How many points for survival?' one, as opposed to the original 'deserved 3 points' one...

I stated yesterday that this was pretty much a 'must win' game, if were to hold on to the coat-tails of the Play-off occupiers and we dud just that with a battling display that produced moments of great skill and determination...

A great start to 2024 and for me, an invaluable 3 points ahead of some much-needed incomings who we hope will push us on for the second half of a season few of us genuinely thought we'd be in such a good place at this point...
