Did he have an injury to come, because at that time he was dictating the game..strange substitutions today..etete was doing ok..meite was ok. Out wide..I thought we were controlling the second half until bullut changed things..
Tue Dec 26, 2023 6:06 pm
I agree lost a lot of momentum when they went off and ended up on the back foot for most of the rest of the game
Tue Dec 26, 2023 6:12 pm
Yeh totally went backwards when colwill n etete n ralls went off , very strange decision .
Should of rested siopias today ,
Grant was outstanding today and colwill was one of best I’ve seen him which is great to see and I don’t get y the hate for colwill from some ??
Tue Dec 26, 2023 6:21 pm
Rubin was thinking playing well.
I thought Bulut made wrong Subs.
Tue Dec 26, 2023 6:30 pm
My thoughts exactly. Why take Colwill off he was dictating our attacks. Rall was the fighter in midfield.
I have said it before, when we take Ralls off we lose control of the midfield. He took 2 midfielders off and brought on 2 wingers.
I don't think Bullet knows what substitutions to make and when to make them. Bullet definately cost us 2 points today.
Tue Dec 26, 2023 6:32 pm
Ralls and WIntle gave him a platform and he delivered. No idea why he went off, I guess EB has to decide if Grant can play 10 as O'Dowda will be available soon and he is made for this system.....Christ, Collins is very poor, need a new LB and Bagam back
Tue Dec 26, 2023 6:55 pm
Very poor management. We had momentum. This "must change on 60 mins" cost us today. Rubin showed some phenomenal skill today, and was running on adrenaline.
It killed the pressure and allowed them to score, the take the momentum.

Apparently him and etete both took knocks
Tue Dec 26, 2023 7:02 pm
The physio told him to take them off and bulut wanted to keep them on for an extra 15, so does bulut ignore the physio? I dunno
Tue Dec 26, 2023 7:04 pm
Ralls played very well but look knackered
Colwill being taken off was a very strange decision
Bulut right against Wednesday with subs
Got it wrong today for me
Although Plymouth were always very much in the game

Colwill motioned to the bench just before he came off - he signalled that he needed to be subbed.
As soon as he went off he went straight down the tunnel, so obviously something not quite right.
This wasn’t a ‘strange sub by the manager’, it was enforced due to injury.
Tue Dec 26, 2023 7:25 pm
I seen Etete go down the tunnel not moving great either, kinda look super stiff legs if that makes sense.

Shows we need depth. We get that depth by improving on what we have. Colwill was good today.

My eyes saw Rubin running the show in the 10mins before he got taken off. So yes, ignore the physio.

Managed to get down for the game just in time for kick off
Colwill best performance for me in a city shirt he was twisting them here and there and running with the ball making things happen
lets not loan him out he was the only creater in the team and ramsey is not back till feb.

And not long ago everyone slaying him saying “one good performance and goal doesn’t mean he’s good” he needs to be sold.
All I’m seeing on this post is that he ran the show today!
Make your bloody minds up about him!
He’s always had the ability.

He proved me wrong today. That's what can happen, you see... a performance can change opinion.

Poor first half again but started the second half with goal and dominated possession. Then the strange decision to change shape and take off probably our best 3 players apart from Grant ???
Bizarre or what??
Was he resting players for Friday?
Were they injured?
Why not wait till we run out of little steam ?
Very frustrating and definitely cost us 2 pts
Roll on Friday!

As others have said, he signalled to the bench after about the 55 minute mark. He was substituted ten minutes later.
Just seems like a few are trying to criticise the manager for a problem that doesn’t exist.
People should stop looking for things that aren’t there.

Spot on. Fans quick to make assumptions without understanding the full picture.

...but he was bossing the game right up till when he went off. That's the point, not opposing that he had a knock. 5 more mins could have been the difference? He certainly wasn't playing like he had a knock.

Injury or not, I thought Rubin was running the show yesterday.
Some of his play was on par with Aaron Ramsey at his best.
Full of trickery and invention.
When he left the pitch, our performance level plummeted.
Either we use the lad as first team choice more regular, or for god sake, loan him out so he can develop.
He is wasted on the bench.

In that extra 5 minutes he could have done something that led to a goal but he was even more likely to make his small injury a lot worse & end up out for a month or even longer. The physios & manager decided to play it safe & take him off rather than risk a worse injury, it is what it is.

I can’t believe colwill was brought off the way he lets the ball do the work is unbelievable he was opening Plymouth up at times but if he did have a problem well fair enough dont wont him out for a long time

The one positive about it, is that it was obvious RC was having a huge impact on the game for us, and their players hardly laid a glove on him. He turned them literally every time, either with a feign or a straight turn.
So many of us have said this needs to be his breakthrough year. And for me he’s doing it, and fully embracing it as his confidence is showing through.
He’s built his performances to deserve the recent starts.
He has obvious class, and lovely to see him spring surprises in those tight moments on the ball. Glad for him (and us) that he finally appears to be starting to fulfill his potential.
Looking forward to seeing him manage the full games week in, week out.
