He told the BBC: "We trust Erol [Bulut] but we still have to look at budgets, we're not simply going to buy players. Hopefully in January we can bring in some... good players, we have to study you know?"

Vincent Tan in attendance today. First time since November 2022 , the day he confirmed Mark Hudson was being offered the manager's job. Club has come a long way in just over a year, with a big January ahead. But first, Plymouth.

Also only his 2nd visit for over 7 years.

Apparently attending next two games. Hopefully to thrash out transfer funds Hopefully. :ayatollah:

Nothing new in his interview but didn't rule out paying for signings. Took this as a positive.

Yep, he's in his usual seat and wearing his (now) favourite blue top and hihj waist band...! :bluescarf:

I also see this as a positive ahead of next eeek's Transfer Window opening... :ayatollah:

I Heard he here to see how bad colwill is with his own eyes. He must have interfered with team selection again for colwill to get a start

If he did it was the best decision of the day. The worst decision of the day was Bulut subbing Colwill in the 64th minute.

Fully agree; Colwill was at his best... :ayatollah:

If tan is here for friday nights game that could work both ways
He can see how far behind we are to the likes of leicster and decide to invest heavily
or he might think f.ck that not worth spending on this team this season
Just a shame the likes of o' dowda and ramsey are not playing for him to see
i am sure if these 2 where playing from the start of the season to the present we would be in play off position.

Good to see our owner actually be at a game. He was wearing his blue City shirt too.

But on a serious note, I don’t think it mattered how we played today or the result. The budget for January would have been decided a while ago. He’s not just going to turn up a week before the window and tell Bulut how much he has to spend on the basis of one game. That’s not how it works.

He apparently watched every game on video from Malaysia, so he does see the games.

Bulut, Dalman and others would have told him in recent months how much they want and he would have given them a final figure well in advance of now.

I wonder if he was in the UK for other business reasons, as that has been the case in the past.

He’ll also be at the game on Friday.

I would think he will take the time to meet Bulut this week as they haven’t met yet, as we know Bulut does everything through Dalman.

Got him to pose for a photo with my son (who is 25! )
Tan seemed in good spirits and had a blue Ramsey shirt on.
Let’s hope he invests in January as this squad needs strengthening which was clear after 64 mins today!
