cscs safety card

how do i get one and is there anything i need to read / do before sitting the test so i can pass it ? im after 1 so i can go on site and get experience working on a site as im getting sick of dominos .

the test is a piece of piss. although do advise you to get a book, maybe have one in your library, cos some questions on fire extinguisher colours and the health and safety executive etc.

AND IF YOU GET ONE DONT LET IT EXPIRE.
MY MATES LET THEIR CARDS RUN OUT AND HAD TO RE-APPLY. I RENEWED MINE WITH 6 MONTHS LEFT AND THEY GAVE ME 5 EXTRA YEARS

The Test is really easy, just common sense mostly. but a word of warning, my Mates son refused to revise for his test because the question and answer book he'd borrowed was so easy, he thought it not possible he could fail but he did!

Questions like :

If a ladder looks damaged. Do you:

A) climb up it carrying a heavy load
B) Throw hand grenades at it
C) Report it to a supervisor

Be warned though. You DO need the book, cos they throw in the odd daft
question about what does the CLRC stand for (for instance.. i made it up)

Also they ask about Fire Extinguisher colour coding etc

The idea being that you BUY the book, just for the sake of 4 or 5 questions, cos
its more money for the robbing bastards

when i did mine they gave me a disk to take home and do mock tests 400 questions on the disk and your test can be any 40 of them when you pass itl cost you 30 quid for the card
