I think we are starting to see the limitations of our manager and squad.
If you takeaway the Swansea and Bristol games are we really any better than last season?
Midfield has no creativity, strikers can't score and a defence that struggles to keep clean sheets.
I said at the start of the season we'd finish around 18th and I'm sticking to that.

I would agree that the football hasn't been exciting, fair point. But in the games prior to Southampton we were good in patches and competitive. We created chances. What worries me since Southampton is that we are no longer competitive and clueless going forward.

To answer your question, we played some nice stuff against Stoke and Norwich but the other fixtures, very poor, insipid passing across the back with no press, movement, urgency or fluidity.

To me, I can only see one of two scenarios.
Either:
1) The players have downed tools. (Can’t see it being the case, but would explain the dramatic drop in form)
2) Team have been found out. There’s no plan B, partly down to the frees and loans we had to sign in the summer. The limitations of the players are starting to show as a result.
I hope it’s option 2, because it means a few new players in January to strengthen could mean we start moving back in the right direction.

3-0 flattered us today
Collins is really struggling at left back, as is Siopis in midfield and the forwards are devoid of confidence.
No blame on Alnwick today.
I think, if it's possible, Cardiff need to get in a left back as a priority, or recall Bagan, if possible ? But he is not that great either.
Two central midfielders, a nine and, possibly another wide player.
Adams not good enough at Championship level, they also need to move on Campbell, Sawyers, Rinamhota, Evans, and Ugbo.
I would listen to offers for Wintle .

Definitely need a left back urgently.
Keef will up the goal tally IF we get him
Players look shot of any confidence recently.
50 points needed ASAP

I’m thinking there’s a rift between some of the players and Bulut about playing style(this slow back four playing out).
It wasn’t like that early season when we were quite quick on times.
I’m finding this difficult and extremely painful but we must have patience and wait til the transfer window and hopefully time will tell and back to onward and upward.
I’m still on The Bulut Train

I had a go at Bowler last week for not running forward and looking for the pass through but I’m not sure what the wingers are told to do when in that position. Tbf I thought Tanner looked a bit better today when he came on, as did Robinson.

Surely Bulut has to be given time to get his own players in for a couple of windows now he doesn’t have any restrictions and be judged after that.

I have to be honest Annis. I don’t agree with most posts of yours, we often have differing opinions on players etc.
However, I will say 100% agree with everything you’ve just said there.

Good assessment. Think you’re probably bang on the money there!

I agree with the above.
Before start of season, if someone had said we'd only be 5 points off play offs then I would have snapped their hands off.
What we have is a manager who knows what he wants. The problem is we do not quite have the players. But come January I think results, and performance, will be a lot more positive

Those 2 wins, Preston away 2-1 and Millwall home 1-0 are holding us up. Scary to think that they were late goal wins against teams that are on a similar struggle than we are. Without that it would be looking very bleak.
To me it feels like we have not recovered from those 2 late goals against Norwich. Only game I feel would be worth writing home about was the win at Preston and that is not because of the 2 late injury time winners but the fact we kept trying to the end.

Cheers, fair enough.
If eveywas honest the last 8 games have been dire.
Bulut has a Chance now to go to Sheffield Wednesday, and win by a number of goals and then we can return home for Boxing Day and give Plymouth a hiding.
We have had a lot of very winnable games. But struggled so badly and played dire boring football.
Bukut says he’s a winner and is attack minded ???

I think it’s difficult to put the finger on exactly what the issue is. Prior to these 8 games, we did look good, and was playing some decent football.
Hopefully, Bulut can re-evaluate and sort it out.
I think it’s a combination of the plan A being found out, and teams have worked out how to play against it. Along with Bulut not having a plan B, due to the players at his disposal / squad depth not having the ability to execute his tactics.
I think we’ve got a very interesting, and exciting January transfer window.
