“ Erol Bulut / Wayne Rooney “

What the managers have said

Erol Bulut:

“You only need to see the table to know how close it is. In two games, you can win both and be near the play-offs, but if you lose them, you can be down to somewhere like 14th. But we want to stay in and around the play-offs, and we will do everything for that.

“Until the end of the season, I think we will be close to there. Every point is very important for us and every game for us is a final.”

Wayne Rooney:

“We’re in a difficult place, we know that, with the run of results and the points we’re losing. The big thing is the goals we’re conceding are very poor goals. We have to figure it out and make sure we don’t give easy goals away. The run of form can’t continue. Of course I understand the fans’ frustration. That’s normal when you go through a run of results like this and we have to change this as quickly as possible. If I was a fan in the stands there tonight I would be exactly the same. But what I can tell you is we’re working really hard to fix it, to improve results and performances.”

There's no way Rooney said all that without slipping an errrmmmm in.

Jokes aside this has to be 3 points today.

Derby finally got relegated at some away game, can't remember where, and my mate was there to welcome them home. After Rooney gave his spill to them about how he was going to get them back into the Championship there was a feeling he was the perfect guy to do it. Some short time after he announced he was of to the MLS. Rooney lost all respect then and my Derby mates are loving what going on at Brum. They have been wishing me well tonight and trust me when I say living here in Derby as a Cardiff fan that is a rare occasion. In fact I think it is the first time.
