Don Goodman has told Birmingham City's players to buck their ideas up after a disastrous start to Wayne Rooney's tenure as manager.
Blues have lost six of their opening nine games under Rooney and now lie 17th in the Championship table. Blues are just four points above the relegation zone - although they are only seven points behind sixth-placed Sunderland, too.
The 2-0 defeat to Coventry City on Friday night was Blues' eighth consecutive loss on the road. Rooney desperately needs a result at Cardiff City on Wednesday to ease growing concerns among the fanbase.
Goodman, who has commentated on several of Blues' games under Rooney for Sky Sports, believes the pressure is on the players to deliver if they want to stick around under new owners Knighthead. He said: "If I was a Birmingham player, I’d be thinking, ‘I’m playing for my future now’. This is an ambitious club with ambitious owners.

These are the games that I always think we'll lose
Fans turning on their manager
Brum on a horrible run of form
Their fans expecting a loss and us expecting a win
On paper we are "obviously" going to do well
Been a City fan for too long so always expecting the worst but we often lose the games we "expect" to win
