Erol Bulut:

"When we see the whole game, it wasn't the best quality game," Bulut said after the win. "We knew this because the opponent is good physically and aggressive. We need to have better passing options, we lost a lot of balls.”

“My change of days substitute’s I think changed the game.”

“ "We couldn't play our game, the opponent didn't allow us. It was one of those games where if you score the first goal you win the game. We scored it and got the three points. Second half, we were more behind the ball, staying compact, trying to get a goal with counter-attacks to score the second goal or maybe a third one.”

"I think the changes were the correct time, we changed immediately in the second half. We didn't face the opponent in the first half how I wanted, that's why I made the changes. Sometimes it's not only enough to press the defender and stay with the defender. We have to work much more with our offensive players, they are working hard, but sometimes you can have a bad day, that's why we have substitutions and we changed the players. They helped us a lot today, the substitutions."

"The results from the other opponents in the table today, it was an important game today, to take three points. This game is finished, but Wednesday is the next difficult game. This period we have to take as many points as possible in this period. We have to work a lot for that.

"If you see how close the table is, with one or two wins we are in the play-offs. With two losses, you can just your position from sixth to 14th. We want to stay around the play-offs and we need to work hard for that. You could see in the players' faces it was hard work, but they are happy to get the win today.

"The league, until the end of the season, will be close like that, in the table, so every game is like a final."

We played better in the second half because we had more creative players on the pitch. The first half was terrible as yet again we were so defensive at home, and trying to play this horrible game out of defence. Colwill makes a big difference with his running and quick passing - ok he made mistakes, but at least he tried to get things going, unlike Robinson who made no effort to get the ball. Why pick Robinson, who was just as poor in midweek. We must start on the offensive against teams who are below us in the league, so for a start let’s play the team that played most of the second half, from the beginning. Ralls has been playing well in the last few weeks, and has been left out of the starting lineup in the last two matches. He is our Captain and deserves to be playing for his doggedness and leadership alone. Also, please please change our tactics for throw-ins - nobody seems to want the ball as they are so static. For goodness sake, make some movement and give the thrower a chance.

It was a very poor match today, and the windy, cold weather certainly played a part in that, and in addition, the referee let their two centre backs get away with constant holding throughout the match. At half time, I went out to get my hat from the car, and a gentleman was going out at the same time, but he was going home as he had had enough of the very poor display, and our negative tactics.

Made me nervous when he tried stopping ball going out for a corner and nearly handed the attacker a tap in.
(Just let it go out for a corner!)

I think Runarsson could be a decent keeper but Alnwick is someone the defence clearly trust and this is huge. Our defence can concentrate on attack without worrying about the keeper.

We travelled down from Berkshire for the game today for my sons 12th birthday, just don't ask about the journey home - m4 was closed at Swindon due to serious accident!

Great result and important 3 points, which is all that matters.

Siopis didn't have the best of games today, I could see what he was trying to do but kept misplacing passes.

I'm still not convinced by the keeper, it was squeaky bum time every time he had the ball. Less said about the attempt to stop the corner the better.

A bit of a boring game, but we both enjoyed the win.

Mcguiness was MOM for me.
