He was huge in Albania for some reason. Dont know if a lot of people know that.

Your right his nickname was Pitkin- it was the old, rather chubby, feller that played Mr Grimsdale. Absolutely loved those films, A stitch in Time, Square Peg, The Early Bird- where his horse Nelly was drugged with poisoned apples by a new milk operator who used electric milk floats rather than a horse - Consolidated Diaries. Tremendous films that i love as a kid and growing up. Loved doing his impression..... "Mr Grimsdale"!!

RIP you comic genius- you made thousands of kids and adults laugh until thier ribs were sore.

A great British Comic who will be sadly missed. They dont make them like Norman anymore.

One hell of a life story. His father was a drunk and through him out at the age of 14 I believe too.
