Non footie - Sad rugby news

I know this is a football board but thought I'd share this tragic news with you lot.

Gavin Quinnell, brother of Scott and Craig, apparently has lost his sight in one of his eyes on Saturday during a match against Cross Keys. Apparently Gavin was intentionally stamped in the face which went straight into his eye. Absolutely sickening.

I know Gavin (not that well) through mutual friends and think it's very sad when any sports person suffers a career ending injury.

Like I said I know this is a CCFC football board but it's sad news when a profession is taken away from someone at a young age.



Ps I hope the rumours are not true and that he makes a full recovery.

I'm sure the players were all chummy afterwards which is what counts! I hate rugby, hate the way some people use it as an excuse to assault other people and this incident is just another example. Saying that, local league football is the same.
