That was a typical Championship battle, and we got a well earned point on the road against a team who had won three in a row.
Very pleased with that point

We defended very well. The whole of the defence were brilliant. Grant, Bowler and Siopis also played well.
Colwill was brilliant when he came on.
Robinson didn't play well at all though.
Wintle nearly won it for us late on, but pleased with the point

Happy with the point, Ng mom for me again.

Well summed up. My thoughts exactly.
I would just add that Siopis and Grant worked their socks off. We looked a lot better once Robinson came off.

Stoke never an easy place to go to.
Considering they’re in good form too, that’s a decent result.
Bonham won Stoke a point at the end.
Colwill really put himself in Bulut’s thoughts now for the Norwich game.

Good point
Against a side that have found form
defensively very good and a clean sheet

Clean sheet, nowhere near the bottom 3, able to buy in January and Stoke were on a decent run.
Definitely much better than this time last season.

Its our defence that is going to make this a successful season.

Agree - defensively haven't felt this confident in some time about City. What a player McGuinness is turning into and Ng so consistent, Goutas settled in brilliantly, Collins a dynamic left back.
Thought we'd miss the colossus Kipre, but we've done alright.

After not playing consistently Robinson is bound to have a few below par games

CR is a conundrum.
Last season his movement got him into positions that our L1 level strikers never seem to find themselves but he is not a natural finisher.
He is not a back to goal striker (we only have Etete), more of an off-the-shoulder second striker type, but EB system doesn't seem to suit him.
He hasn't the aggression or desire that Bowler and especially Grant have to play the inside forward role. He tries to be creative but he is not an attacking midfielder or a genuine "10". I doubt if anyone is surprised if Colwill starts ahead of him on Saturday.
He has bounced around a few clubs but i don't think he is anything but a professional good lad who needs to find a club that play to his strengths. Be interesting to see him with Etete as he gives you a platform

For the first season for a while, the whole squad look like they are up for it.
A good solid performance against a good Stoke side.
We played some lovely football. Solid defence and some nice quick movement up the pitch.
Shame we couldn't find the net at least once, but we look balanced and well organised.
However, good to see Etete back as he is beginning to look a handful. I hope he starts against Norwich.
I'm looking forward to each match more than for a long time.

Do you think we are going to have a successful season now? Define what you regard as success?
