I would start him up front tomorrow with Grant and Tanner either side.
Surely now is the time to give him his chance up top with all the injuries but I suspect Ugbo will play again and for me Robinson offers alot more as the central forward than him.
When Robinson came on midweek I felt he was trying too hard and didn't know where he was supposed to be. Bulut seems to want to play him in the number 10 role which I don't think suits him.

You might have a point. For me it's a no brainer with a current injury problems that he should start some matches. Quality and proven goalscorer

Don’t think Robinson is fit enough yet personally.
Fri Oct 06, 2023 4:45 pm
I was wondering where the weekly Robinson topic was
Fri Oct 06, 2023 5:23 pm
I just don't get it. We've all seen he can score goals in a poor team last season. Then the fitness issue came up but surely he must be fit enough to play 90 minutes now.
Still think he's the best attacker we have at the club but I don't think he's started a league game yet.
Fri Oct 06, 2023 6:02 pm
He’ll never get fit until he plays, it’s chicken and the egg. Start him and see how long he lasts then make the change.
Fri Oct 06, 2023 6:03 pm
Bottom line is I reckon he's fit. He was also knocking them in pre-season.
The reason why supporters keep banging on about him is because he should now be getting more game time and he's proven quality. There's no argument about it.

Agree should start now.

Not after that performance.
Couldn’t trap the ball, couldn’t hold it up. Couldn’t bring anyone into play.
Sat Oct 07, 2023 4:36 pm
Didn't do much of anything today when he came on, obvious why he's not playing from the start.
Sat Oct 07, 2023 4:45 pm
Needs to turn in a better performance

He wasn’t brilliant but he was ten times better than Ugbo

What game you watching? Ugbo didn’t have a great game, but at least he brought players in on a few occasions.
Robinson did absolutely nothing when he came on. The amount of times the ball went up to him, and he just lost it straight away.

Ugbo new whipping boy. When tbf those cbs he was up against were pretty big and strong. But he seemed to get the odd battle in against them and look ok in parts

I agree about the two Watford lads, but that's the championship.
If Ugbo is not a 9, and doesn't get ahead of Grant, Bowler, O'Dowda & Tanner on the flanks and is not a 10 or second striker ahead of Rambo, Robinson or Colwill then where does he play?
Bulut looks like he thinks Robinson is a second striker/10 meaning we desperately need a 9.
Etete had a breakout game last week but is still very young for that position

Today answers the question why Robinson doesn't start.
No work ethic.
Sat Oct 07, 2023 7:57 pm
Robinson just didn’t look fit, or particularly interested, today.
I was disappointed he didn’t start today but he certainly didn’t convince me once he came on.

The same game you were but I have a different opinion. Ugbo offers nothing.

Underhill
Agree with you. Robinson offered much more than Ugbo.
All of a sudden, just because we have a manager who doesn't fancy CR47, he's not fit or has no work ethic! What a load of bollox!
If Robinson actually started a few games in a row, you'd probably see what he gives the team consistently - like last season.
It's weird how one of our best players last season is now persona non grata for some reason

Football is a team game, and all 11 need to put in a shift.Robinson doesn’t close down properly, he always pulls out of 50/50 challenges (infact almost any challenges). This is what many WBA fans said when he left them.
Next time he plays, watch his “efforts” when not in possession! It would be different if he was an extremely gifted player - but he is not. I hope Bulut can improve these aspects of his game, but the message doesn’t seem to be getting through.
Its no good if Robinson (or Ugbo for that matter) score the odd goal but the team loses.
Bulut wants players that work for the team, so do I.

Totally agree. Ugbo seems to be the new go to blame boy.
Not great but did what he could yesterday with scraps.

Totally agree. Working your bollox off and putting 100% into every challenge should be a given, the very least a player should do.

I don't understand how anyone watching that today can say Ugbo offers more in the central role than Robinson.
The final straw for me was when he went down with cramp. I watched him the whole 2nd half and he doesn't move.
Robinson wasn't great when he came on but the point is he should be starting games and his correct position. Poor performance all round today we were lucky to get a draw.
Sun Oct 08, 2023 2:33 pm
The difference in attitude between Robinson & Tanner when they have come on is everyone but especially what Bulut is seeing is that Tanner came on & made an immediate difference with his effort and Robinson came on & didn't really try hard to make any difference.
Just my opinion.

Dunno about Robinson, dont like to bash own players but from what i seen dont see what justifies him starting. But its hard to say much about the Watford game cause second half we were gash
Mon Oct 09, 2023 12:37 pm
Robinson hasn't started a league match all season as far as I know so I can't see how his impact can be judged properly from some fleeting appearances from the bench.
Can someone post his match stats this season?
