Bulut has revealed that Karlan Grant's withdrawal at half-time was due to a knock picked up in the win over Coventry being exacerbated. Aaron Ramsey, meanwhile, missed the trip to Wearside due to illness.
"Karlan had an injury from the last game, on his leg, it was opened up two or three centimetres, so today he played with pain. Aaron Ramsey was sick. He came to us and said he didn't feel well, so it was better to leave him home. He has a fever, so we'll have to see what is going on. I hope he'll get better. We'll see."
