Am I right in thinking we are allowed five loanees in a matchday squad?

The goalie will definitely take up one of those spaces so that leaves four places.

so if we were to sign Panzo and Kieffer on loan one of the loanees would miss out in each matchday squad.

I cannot see how having 6 loans can work.

We needed depth and getting loans has allowed us to do that. Most of them have all contributed well already, Grant perhaps being the exception but he has a good championship pedigree and will hopefully come good. We could have got freebies but they would likely be lesser quality. 12 out who won't be missed and a general improvement in squad and 250k is brilliant business. Not sure what anybody could have expected beyond what Erol has done so far in the circumstances. We will obviously get injuries and suspensions and we are seeing Tanner and Rubin emerging too which is a bonus.

And Panzo would be in the squad because of the position. Which leaves 3 from 4. But as the other 4 are all attacking players and we also have Odowda, Tanner, Meittee, Colwill, Robinson, and Ramsey to fit in forward/attacking midfield roles I cant see it being a significant issue.
