Sam Bowen was one of Cardiff City’s brightest prospects through the Academy.

(Sam Bowen is a different class than the others at the age of 20 years old by Glen Williams )

Bowen now nearly 23 years old was sent of on loan by Cardiff City to Welsh League club Barry Town and returned to the Bluebirds who he then joined Newport County in League 2 on a permanent 3 year deal with a clause that if he was sold City would get 50% of the fee.

Bowen made 7 appearances for County in League 2 last season.

Yesterday:

Newport County can confirm that Sam Bowen has joined Wealdstone on a season-long loan, subject to league approval.

Wealdstone Football Club is an English semi-professional football club based in Ruislip, London Borough of Hillingdon, and affiliated to the Middlesex County Football

Knew Sam from a young age as live by the family and my son was at Cardiff City with his brother Jaye. As an under 10 he was a different class to all the kids his age. It goes to show that when you move up to through the ranks and move into senior football you need something extra and that usually comes down to a bloody determination to improve and give everything.
I remember his age group at under 10 giving Liverpool a real thumping and did the same to most teams

It's a shame because Sam has real talent; but I'm sure I recall he had a very poor attitude and was admonished more than once by his managers/coaches and his dad, former Bluebird star Jason (Bowen)

Both him and his brother were very talented but they lacked the desire and could easily be knocked off their game but a hard tackle and then gave up. They had lots of talent but lacked the one thing .Hard work
As skill was explain Skill is not bringing the ball down on your chest and pinging a pass 50 yards to your player feet. Skill is doing that but with Jimmy Scoulars foot up your arse at the same time .

Your all spot on, both had quality , but same as you all have said, they both had attitude and not the big desire to succeed at higher levels.

Sad really.

The minute I knew Sam was off to Barry Town, I knew he was going backwards.
