Wednesday have been awful
Fri Aug 04, 2023 8:20 pm
Gregory equalises for Wednesday. Good set piece routine including Vaulks and Paterson.
Fri Aug 04, 2023 8:53 pm
Che Adams scores and may have won it late on for Southampton, although there will be a lot of added time.
Fri Aug 04, 2023 9:05 pm
The season begins with a 2-1 win for Southampton at Sheffield Wednesday.
Wednesday still look like a League One team.
Southampton got the job done but their goals were their only real chances, a lot of passing but not much else.

Expecting loads of Yellow Cards this season if the refs show any consistency and if tonight's game was the benchmark.

For sure.
A lot of added time as well, 15 minutes in total tonight.

Half Time and QPR are 4-0 down at Watford.
Wouldn't surprise me if Ainsworth is gone by next week.

You can’t believe they gave the goal to the last person that touched the ball?

I was meaning it in how gutting it is for teller after a superb strike. Barely changed direction after glancing off the back of Armstrongs head (who knew nothing about it). And then he gets his name on score sheet in the records etc

Just watching some of the highlights on Sky Sports Football this morning, Watford V QPR looked more like a game of FIFA the way Watford opened up QPR in the 1st half to go 4-0 up

Playing some good stuff. Not many chances yet but once they get firing they will be difficult to stop.
The fact they can start Vardy with Daka and Iheanacho on the bench shows the quality they have.

Coventry take the lead early in the second half at Leicester.
A brilliant corner and McFadzean heads it in.
