Saudi Pro League club Al-Hilal have made a £259m offer for PSG and France forward Kylian Mbappe.
They are prepared to offer to pay him €700m a year.
PSG have put him up for sale after he refused to sign a new contract, which expires in 2024. They have also left him out of their pre-season tour.
They believe he has already agreed terms with Real Madrid. Although there has been no offer from the Spanish giants yet.
There is a suggestion he could join Al-Hilal for one season, giving him the opportunity to earn the sort of wages they are offering him, before a free transfer to his dream club Real Madrid next summer.

Scary the money these clubs have.
To think I saw a lot of poverty in Saudi while working out there. Poverty that could be cleaned up through the none elected Government come Royal family.

Sad day for football if this happens.
A player in the Peak of his career would choose money and playing football in Saudi over playing football at the highest level in Europe.
Like it's not as if he's earning a pittance where he is now lol

It's an appalling use of money.

Reports tonight that, although PSG have accepted the offer, Mbappe won't even talk to Al-Hilal about their contract offer.
He would rather not play at all next season (which PSG are threatening) than play in Saudi Arabia.
To be honest, it seems he's determined to sign for Real Madrid - probably next summer on a free.
PSG understandably, especially as they're sailing close to the wind on FFP, really don't want to see him leave for nothing.

£500 a minute.
How pathetic is this starting to get?

Isn't this similar to the Bale scenario at Madrid? With their push to sell him to China and not let him run down his contract?
Funny how they are happy to benefit from it when it's another club losing out.

If we were in this position how many would say "No" ?
Set your family up for life, kids and grand kids never have a financial concern?

I would say no. I know many will not believe me but no one person needs that much, but you are right I suppose there is much you can do with it for others as well as your family.

It's worse than you think really.
Those numbers were based on working 365 days a year for 24 hrs a day.
Looks even more unbelievable if calculated like a normal salary and working pattern.
8hrs a day, 5 days a week with holidays. Work roughly 220 days a year.
€700 million per year. (£600m)
€3 million a day. (£2.7m)
€400k and hour. (£343k)
€6,600 per minute. (£5,700)

World gone mad again ... Unless this has links to both clubs - Fair play and all that is happening at the moment ...

Elite footballers don't work the same working hours as call centres.

Sturggling to follow your point. The division over 24/365 is more accurate than a call centre selling nokias or life insurance, surely?
Actually, I don't care. It's alot of cash, this is semantics.
