Problem is we dont have enough patience with players. Once they hit 23/24 if they've not met their potential by then we get cold feet and the vast majority want them gone (same with Harris at the present time).

Truth is strikers and players in most positions (except for the very elite few) will not hit their peak until their late 20's which is the ages where Glatzel, who was mentioned above, and Healy are now.

Going abroad had really worked for him, fair play.

Good luck to him at Watford.

It’s not so much going abroad, it’s going to a team that likes to play football…

Over the past few seasons it’s hit and hope up the field. Start of last season was refreshing until their got shot of Morison prematurely.

Ligue 2 is essentially the same level as League 1 here, which is where Healey has always done best ( I think he did well at MK Dons for a while). Will be interesting to see if he can manage the step up to Championship level. Always felt he was nearly good enough but not quite.

As for Glatzel, he too is playing in Bundesliga 2 where half the teams are barely League 1 standard. Also he’s been playing in one of the better teams where he is going to get more goalscoring opportunities.

Neither given much of a chance as seems to be the way in recent years; you could add Javi Garcia [top scorer in La Liga behind Ronaldo & Messi who barely got any minutes] among others - we are a graveyard for most strikers we sign; only Kenwyne Jones and Sory Kaba to a degree have been able to adapt to the little service they got. Hopefully this will change with a new system and some creativity in the midfield... We need to persist with our first choice[s] even if he/they don't score in their first few games and give them a run in the team. I'm expecting Robinson to be first choice so fingers crossed he will hit the ground running.

Good luck to him, I thought he looked sharp and was going to make it with us, just had a few injuries at key times, such a shame he did love it here too.

Interesting to see how he does as mentioned the standard in the French 2nd tier is pretty poor outside of the top 4/5 teams
