" Positives for next season "

There's a lot of negativity about, and I agree with a lot of it.

But should look at a few positives ahead of next season, which the below all are in my view.


I believe we have a good manager in Sabri Lamouchi, so if he stays that will be good.

Callum Robinson was a huge miss when he got injured, he'll be back next season and definitely an important player.

Jamilu Collins was crucial before he got injured. He's had this bad injury but also back for next season. Having him will enable O'Dowda to play further forward, crucially.

Ebou Adams is already back training after his long injury. He's very highly rated and will probably be an important player.

Mark McGuinness should never have been loaned out but did benefit from his time in League One. He's a bit of a leader and a good Championship standard defender, just needs to cut out a few stupid fouls he makes which can easily be coached in pre season.

Finally, we have someone who will potentially be a future star in Lennon Peake. He'll be involved in the first team from pre-season.

I’m going to add Kion Etete to that list. He looked totally lost when he first played for us, but has probably made more progress than any other player this season and played particularly well with Sory Kaaba and before injury Callum Robinson.

Yea great post Worcester_CCFC, finally someone with some positive thoughts, which are absolutely true. We now have an experienced manager which was much needed since Warnock.
We should be looking towards mid table next season with a few good additions.

I agree with Bluebird58 about Etete too, he has improved, and thats just from better coaching.
Hopefully Kion and Robbo can get a good thing going next season, Kaba has done well for us but I'm not bothered about him coming back next season. Granted he scored a banger against Watford, but he's not all that

I will feel more positive if Limouchi is confirmed as manager. There is the bones of an ok Championship squad for next season. Collins, Adams, Colwill and Davies, with a proper pre-season, may be like new signings. However, the three loaned players have to be retained or replaced with similar decent quality. A proper number 9 of Championship quality is crucial if we are to compete. Would love that to be Kaba but doubt thats possible.

Also with a full pre season behind them Davies & Colwill will be like 2 new signings.

Both looked sharp against Huddersfield.

At last some positivity on the usual diatribe posted on here!

We all know the situation and the reasons behind the lack of investment but I'm a positive guy and believe things will improve next season.

Unless the transfer embargo is lifted and investment made on players I don't think we'll be hitting the play offs though.

Collins, Adams , Robinson and O'Dowda all unavailable but surely starters next season ! Along with NG, Wintle, Colwill,Davies, Peake,King (not the Chinese capital) a couple more in and I think we could be in for a good season.

Ralls is a positive for me too. When the chips are down there are none more committed than him. He will play anywhere he’s told to. Has an air of calmness about him and we play better when he is on the pitch. He’s not the best midfielder and has his limitations. But he’s a tremendous servant for us.
