So I’ve had time to reflect on todays outing, we played well in parts, you could see the season has taken its toll on the players. I was sat just to the side of the bench and saw Etete complaining about the tackle when he came off, he was handed a bag of ice for his hamstring, he was already carrying a knock as his hamstring was all taped up.
The one thing I did notice was there’s a massive lack of communication both amongst the team and amongst the back room staff. For instance their 1st corner Ralls was told by JM to push into the box and Bamba was shouting at him to mark the man on the edge of the box…. The build up to their 1st goal there was no communication amongst the players at all. How is a player supposed to know there’s an opposition player coming through when there’s no communication.
Kaba pointed out a few specific balls for McGuiness to play and he didn’t play one of them leaving Kaba frustrated.
I honestly don’t understand why Kipré was brought off and not Ojo…. The triple change didn’t exactly make sense and we suffered without Kipré on the field.
Going forward the main thing we need to work on is communication on the pitch. Wether is Sabri & Sol or somebody else. I’d be happy for S&S to stay if they get the nod and are given finances to get the players they want in. We can’t have another season of changing managers every 3-4 months
