Mike Flynn was previously in line for the job when he left Newpot but the Board decided against appointing him and they won't go in that direction again...

absolutely crazy decision this point of the season, they have 3 games left, and unless they have someone already lined up, whoever comes in has got only 2/3 games (depending on when they are hired) to workout which players deserve a new deal and which ones to move on. if they were planning on sacking him which seems they were for a while, they should of done it alot sooner, however a friend made a good point, the board sold his striker off from him in January, which meant alot of their goals dried up, drew to many after January, did a good job steadying the ship at Walsall
