Swansea have been ranked as some of the most rat-heavy places in the UK.

Statistics this week revealed the two councils were some of the most likely be called out to deal with the troublesome vermin.


That’s according to the British Pest Control Association (BPCA), which has ranked Swansea as the sixth most rat infested city in the UK and Neath Port Talbot even worse in second place.

I think the Welsh Government should step in immediately as this situation has been growing and is completely unacceptable for a first world country.

It's simply inhumane for those poor rats to be anywhere near the vermin who inhabit that town, god knows what they could catch.

I literally laughed out loud when I read that

Don't post more meaningful statistics here, they don't care about their own crumbling infrastructure, it has to be Swansea is worse in being able to karaoke or cut down tree's, keep it sensible at least, being the murder capital means nothing i would not let my dog walk around down there without two layers of protective clothing on and i wipe my feet on the way out

I see the BBC had an article on the Soup if Rubish in Cardiff Bay. Even the Cardiff Bay harbour authority admitted that every year they have to clear 500 tons of waste and rubbish from the polluted waters most of which was dumped into the rivers that flow into the Bay by Cardiff residents.

Bit of perspective , in 2017 where I come from, Inverclyde, had a 14 per 100,000 murder rate.
