Great news for city and I am kind of pleased he is out.

Does this show Flynn is maybe a bit to weak though for the wales job?
as an example if Bellers had signed for Swansea played on sat then not in the wales games I would be fuming

I'm more inclined to think that 20 or 30 Welsh fans will be enraged at his absence from the Welsh team.

Within 10 years international football will be dead and about as relevant as the Commonwealth games - the serious professionals won't be interested.

I would imagine Brian has spoken to Craig. He knows if he was fit he'd be there.
Craig is not like Giggs and co he wants to play for Wales.

Have I missed something? How is this good news for City fans? Good news would be for Bellamy to be fit for Barnsley, be fit to play for Wales and then come back from international duty fit for City. It is good to see Flynn and Jones working closely.

I support Wales and Cardiff City. They are of equal importance to me. Personally speaking, I feel leaving Bellamy out of the Euro qualifiers coming up is a correct one. It would be too much too soon.

For those who are disparaging of international foootball: I am sure this won't stop you trying to get Wales - England tickets.

You look like a serious professional yourself.

The problem is Wales have failed so often a lot of Welsh supporters including myself have lost interest.

I use to go to all the Wales games from the 70s right up recently but got so fed up of top players pulling out (not Bellamy) and the support getting worse the money I was spending and watching a lot of rubbish plus the bloody horns.

After watching the world cup I have to agree international football is not as important to the players either and club managers
do not rate them as they need the players for the clubs they manage.

I hope Brian Flynn well and deeply hope Wales can qualify but not to the cost of Cardiff City. I will not be trying for Wales v England tickets as the loyal supporters deseve them . I will be watching on the TV in the hope of a massive shock but I can not see it somehow.

it makes perfect sense..

barnsley away isnt gonna make or break our season. he'll miss that, have the whole international break to fully recover and then hopefully our season will officially start..

This isnt really a 'Club V Country' scenario.

Bellamy desperately wants to play for Wales, but to all intents and purposes
Cardiff City pay his wages. Flynn, the Welsh FA and everybody else knows the
story about his knee.

By risking the injury flaring up again re: two games in a week, travel overseas
etc etc it would be irresponsible for Dave Jones not to protect HIS asset
