DELAY IN ROTHERHAM DECISION?

Thu Mar 23, 2023 9:22 am

Its interesting to note that in most cases of matches being called off the re-scheduled date is quickly sorted (usually within days), this is usually more so the case as we are getting towards the end of the season. With regard to the Rotherham situation there has been no news coming out as of yet and the restriction of the clubs being refused permission to comment about the abandonment. I just wonder if serious consideration is being made to sanctioning Rotherham in some way in the form of awarding City the match. Perhaps I am over thinking this who knows! :ayatollah:

I’ll be amazed if it’s anything other than a replay of the game

Unfortunately it will be a replay even though morally the game should be given to us.

The EFL have never been in our favour.

Stick it on Wednesday 3rd May, same as the rearranged Huddersfield vs Sheff U game.

Hopefully it will not matter by then and the heat is taken out of the situation / game.

Or it is a blinder of a night with 3 of the 4 clubs playing trying to confirm another Championship season

Surely we as a club have already suffered enough inconvenience, this delay is so so poor, there are supporters clubs, coach operators, fans, ground staff police/security operatives etc etc all unfairly being kept waiting to reorganise their lives. Poor in the extreme from the eta. :banghead:

It's not uncommon in other sports given we have been subject to these practices on two recent occasions, maybe a new precedent will be actioned.

Maybe the EFL are afraid Tan will add them on his list of people to take to court if they say the game has to be replayed :D

The thought had crossed my mind, given the delay has Tan already instigated/ threatened legal action :digging2:

With this game being a relegation 6 pointer, it wouldn't surprise me if Tan has had is lawyers involved.

His lawyers must be making a fortune (there is nothing surer in law than the cost) no wonder he is not spending on our club anymore :banghead:

Knowing how ‘classy’ the EFL are they will announce it just before kick off of our derby on Saturday :banghead:
