Fresh concerns over Callum Robinson's fitness have emerged after he was omitted from the Republic of Ireland's 26-man squad for their upcoming games against Latvia and France later this month.

Cardiff initially thought Robinson would be fit for the Swansea City game after the international break, but the Irish medical team clearly have not deemed him fit enough for their own upcoming camp later this month, leaving Bluebirds fans sweating on the availability of their top scorer as they reach the crunch point of the season.

Callum O'Dowda, however, is named in the Irish squad for the matches.

This is very speculative, its not surprising that he is not in the Ireland squad giving the fact that his injury is due to be sorted by the 1st April. I would have been concerned if he had been called up by Ireland as it would have been somewhat premature to his recovery cycle.

That's great news, I wouldn't have wanted him playing for them while not fully fit, hopefully as planned, he will be ready after the international break, if not a game or two later, I don't want him rushed back.

the last thing we wanted was them rushing him back, bandaging him up and then missing for us in the run in!

Total non-story, he was never going to be fit for the international games, always touch and go for the 1st. Unfortunately.

Hardly a fresh concern as with his type of injury i thought it was a given that he wouldn't be ready for Ireland. Even if fit he wouldn't have played any football. If he makes the bench for Swansea i would be delighted.

Don't know whether i want him back for swansea game after his sending off last time against swans when he reacted to being wound up.
