Cardiff City manager Sabri Lamouchi:

"To be honest I would have signed for a point before the game. Even if we play so well second half, and for the first time we come back into the game (to get a point since Lamouchi took charge), and the first draw for us with me.

"The attitude and performance in the second half, we tried to disturb them. We missed too much against a good team, but one more lovely goal from Kaba.

"It's an important point for us, especially against a good team. They are playing for a different target, probably the play-off.

"We changed many things - systems, players, many tired in the second half - but we never gave up and that is a positive."

Good point in the end but I personally thought we were off the pace from the minute they trundled out of the tunnel. Never truly looked up for it all night, Which is a shame because even like that I thought we had the better chances and west brom didn't offer much, they were there to be beaten.
Happy with a point though and to not lose when conceding first

They were. But then so were Preston and we lost that 2 nil. So on balance, against a team expected to be in the mix at the top I think we did well. It was clearly a “don’t lose” instruction and lamouchi modified the team on the fly to get us over the line. We are also missing 2 quality attacking players in robbo and wickham. Each point we get us another one that the guys below us have to reel in. Still well and truly in our hands.
