FA Wales have announced the squad to face Latvia.

Thoughts?

Rob Page names four uncapped players but no Cardiff City stars as Wales prepare for new era

Rob Page has named four uncapped players in his first Wales squad since the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

Luke Harris, Jordan James, Ollie Cooper and Nathan Broadhead are included in the 24-man squad for the upcoming Euro 2024 qualifiers with Croatia and Latvia later this month.

No surprise there really, surprised Kieffer Moore made the squad as he has played very little this season, didn't do a lot during the world cup but then again not many of them did. Good shout for the Millwall lad and no call up for Wrecsams Mullen, I know he is National League but certainly knows where the net is and didnt look out of place against Sheff Utd or Coventry.

Overall a few new faces who I dont think will get on the pitch, and it's pretty much the World Cup squad minus those who have retired.

Mullen, Non league no surprise, never even thought about it as this is International football.

But very disappointed that we have No players at all in the Welsh Squad as we are a Championship clubs geeks like we continually go backwards.

Thought Mullen was a scouser? Could be wrong ?

But since when have that stopped any player claiming residency in any sport :o

Colwill, Mark Harris and Isaak Davies aren’t good enough for us, never mind Wales.

Colwill has been particularly disappointing

Agree with others, they haven't played enough to warrant a place in the team.

Can see why Broadhead is selected, doing well on loan at Ipswich.

Bradshaw in brilliant form as well so great to see him back involved.

The recent form of Brennan Johnson is a big boost, watched him for Forest on Sky the other day and he was very good. He'll likely be a regular starter at international level now. Apparently has a knock at the moment but hopefully he'll be alright to play both games.

Banged in 32 goals at League 2 aswell so must have a sense for where goal is, a few League 1 players in squad, maybe they will give him a run out against Gibralter later in the year.

Vardy went from Fleetwood who had just gained promotion to League 2 to Leicester and he seemed to do ok

Absolutely right, Harris is nowhere near being an international, League 1 or 2 at best. Colwill spending too much time out injured, and Davies has yet to make an impression.

PHIL PARKINSON wouldn't be surprised if Wales manager Rob Page was keeping tabs on Wrexham striker Paul Mullin.

Mullin is eligible for Wales through a grandmother and has been tipped for a potential call-up to Page's squad.

Parkinson believes the Wales chief will be well aware of Mullin's exploits in a Wrexham shirt.

"I'd imagine that Rob and (assistant) Alan Knill will have been watching the games closely," said the Reds' boss.

“It’s very rare for a player outside the League set-up to get an international call-up, however he played very well against Sheffield United so it wouldn’t surprise me if his name is being mentioned.”

Page heaped praise on Mullin who caught his eye in Wrexham’s 3-1 FA Cup fourth round replay defeat against Championship high-fliers Sheffield United at Bramall Lane last Tuesday.

In an interview with BBC Sport Wales, Page said: “I was really impressed with him, he did not give the centre back one minute on the ball.

“If there was an aerial battle he was there. He was competing all game and I like that about him.
