4 of our back 5 had good games today. Naylor howver was skinned several times again. he as to be dropped now. He looked like he was carrying something and we looked far more solid when Quinn came on - he put in a lovely solid tackle right in front of us toward the end.
Our midfield though. No energy, no movement, no pace.
Heaton 8 - good handling and nice point blank save
McNaughton 7 - solid again
Hudson 8 - lots of good tackles, blocks and headers, distribution was good (although Palace backed right off)
Blake 7- picked up the scraps well, won most of his headers although one lost header almost ended up in a goal
Naylor 3-nightmare again beaten 5-6 times before withdrawn
Burke, 6-can't beat a man at the mo, so feckin weak as well. At least TRIED to give us some width
Keogh 5, offerred nothing, also powderpuff.
Whittingham, 6 flitted in and out, lots of poor passes, but DID make some tackles.
Oli, 5 looked off the pace and gave it away a lot, hopefully just rusty
Koumas - 5 hardly saw the ball out wide, did one or 2 nice things, but looked short of energy
Bothroyd - 6, would have had a 7 if it wasnt for the silly booking. Again looked our only real threat
