My first "hero" when I started watching the City.

Cried for days when he signed for Liverpool!

Hated him when he went to the vermin.

Great picture!

Love the disabled cars on the touchline in the background.

Usually they would be stuck in a corner somewhere.

A great player for us - born in Northumberland Street - very much 'one of our own' :ayatollah:

Remember it well. My second ever away game and my first win. Day was spoilt as i had my scarf nicked.

I was there if it was the game we won 3-0, and I think I'm right in saying that we went there the following season and won 2-0. No segregation then and a few of us found ourselves in with all the wurzel nutters, fortunately we had a huge following there and we escaped. These were great days to be a city fan, just like every other year.

You are spot on with both scores. And i also remember the huge following we had on their end. I was on the opposite end which was open and wanted to go in with all the City fans. I was only a young boy then and my grandfather would have none of it! As you say great time to be a City fan.

My very first away game too. Think that's Barrie Jones behind the defenders. What a player he was.

He only joined the Jacks because we turned him down as a player/coach, brilliant player and an even better manager, boss of Real Madrid on two occasions and our board at the time rejected him!
