Peter Ridsdale elected onto EFL board as Championship representative

Thought to be voting against Cardiff's transfer embargo being lifted for the next two windows - despite FIFA lifting the Bluebirds' transfer embargo after City paid Nantes £7.2m as a part-payment on the 2019 Sala fee.

City owner Vincent Tan showed ex-Bluebirds chairman Peter Ridsdale the door when he took a major shareholding at Cardiff in summer 2010.

Could it be Ridsdale way of revenge on Tan 13 years after getting jettisoned?

Ridsdale, 70, is now Football Director at Preston after getting banned as a company director at Companies House over a decade ago for financial irregularities.

Cardiff visit Preston in a vital Championship fixture next Saturday - sufficient motivation to sink the Deepdale club.

As if any more evidence were needed as to how grubby football administration and football as a whole is.

Ridsdale is a lying slimy crud and should be nowhere near a position of any importance in football

However, how do you know he is voting against our transfer ban being lifted???

As a former director of the club who was sacked by the present regime and who had some part to play in the current financial mess the club finds itself in, he can hardly be said to be impartial. If he doesn't stand aside and abstain i can see another court case looming. Tans lawyers must be delighted!

How the hell does someone with his history get appointed to represent the whole Championship on the EFL board? I guess there's nominations and voting but come on? The piece says he's well thought in football circles, that kinda tells you a story about the business of football and it seems to start at the top with FIFA and trickles down.
