Cardiff City player Jack Leahy ( 21 years old later this year) says he 'couldn't turn down' the chance to move to Haverfordwest on loan, and has revealed that a chat with academy chief Gavin Chesterfield helped convince him to make the move out west.
Leahy has already made two appearances for his new side, and says he's enjoying life in the JD Cymru Premier.
Speaking about the move, he told the club's YouTube channel: "I didn't really know too much about the league at first. Obviously I knew about teams like TNS because they played in the Europa League.
"But once Gav Chesterfield sat down with me and explained to me how it's a tactical league. Very physical. I was very intrigued to go.
"I spoke to Tony Pennock [the manager] on the phone and I like the way you play down at Haverfordwest. It's possession-based football. Like to play forwards and Tony's a really nice guy as well. It was an opportunity I couldn't turn down."
