Pundits waxed lyrical about Cardiff and Romaine Sawyers following their 1-0 win over Reading on Friday night.
The Sky Sports panel of Jobi McAnuff and Jamie Mackie both appear to agree that the club have turned a corner under Sabri
Lamouchi.
"He's been fantastic under Lamouchi. To get that goal so late, big credit to them," said former Bluebirds midfielder McAnuff.
"It shows a belief. There were probably times earlier in the season when they didn't believe that goal would come. We said how much more chances they are creating and how much more of a threat they are now.
"They were really unlucky to even get to that point (near the end of the match) without having taken the lead.
"Sawyers is going to be absolutely huge. You only have to look at what he's done in other parts of his career and what quality he really brings to the table. He's trying to control the tempo. That creativity he has. Popping up with the goal. He has been reinvigorated."
Mackie then waded in with his post-match analysis, saying: "They certainly deserved that win. There are plenty of teams near the bottom end of the table who will struggle to even create chances and that's the biggest problem.
"Obviously the toughest thing is actually converting them. But it's such a boost for the Cardiff City fans that they've got more of an identity in terms of how they are getting into those areas. We really saw that. They really deserved it.
"In Romaine Sawyers, he's always been, technically, a very good player at this level. It doesn't surprise me how he took his goal. He's got experience, leadership, that's invaluable for the position they find themselves in."
