Sory Kaba

Fri Feb 17, 2023 10:59 pm

He's an interesting one for me.

He seems to have fitted in extremely well into the group and is clearly up for the challenge and committed based on his celebration at the goal and at the end.

With a little more finesse he would have got two goals today, but he is getting in the right postion at the right time which is more than a number of our other strikers are doing.

I do think its only a matter of time for him, however, be cant continue to miss the chances he is getting.

I hope we can take him on loan next season and wotk with him. A much better outlet than Etete.

Think that's a bit harsh on etete, hes still a kid, learning his trade. I think he's improved this season, his first touch definitely needs working on but he ran his socks off tonight, tracked back a fair few times.
Love how involved kaba gets with the crowd, certainly seems to be enjoying being here

All being said though isn't it nice to have options upfront for a change lol

Played well today but should have got at least one goal.

Agree with your comments.

He's a proper striker, in that his positioning is very good. He's also happy enough to play the physical side of the game against defenders. Good work rate too.

His goal against Middlesbrough was a tap in. Once he gets a goal for himself, I think it will give him the confidence to take his chances because he's being created a lot right now.

When we have Wickham up to full match fitness, can see him and Kaba working well together.

I quite like Etete and Kaba together up front but I'd like them both to bulk up a bit!

They're a little too easy to shove off the ball at the moment.

Perhaps they should follow the "Uche" diet to make themselves a bit stronger

Kaba and Etete both need to toughen soft touch up oh to have Andy Carol up front

I think the championship is a bit of a shock for Kaba as he probably has bullied defenders in the Dutch and Danish leagues. He does some good work and then almost admires it, it's a bit quicker and more aggressive here, but he will learn.

Etete is improving but that's probably the big lump with him taking the load away. He definitely looks better though

Should have scored against Reading but seems to be getting in good positions at least and puts a shift in

Like Kaba a lot …think he will start scoring and atleast we are now creating chance …
Think him and KE could form a decent partnership

Kaba looks like a striker with confidence, something we've lacked for a long time.

Etete, i mean, he needs to work on his game, his first touch lets him down, seems a very soft touch when he runs with the ball, he'll fall over, and go down a bit easy, i much prefer Wickham than Etete at the moment, and Wickham hasn't played much yet.

He's ok, needs to tighten up on his first touch at times as its like he's loosely juggling the ball and losing it. Also needs to keep it simple instead of trying for the spectacular. Leans too much into the defenders and falls towards the ground aswell so he needs to keep himself more upright and be stronger.

I do like him though, hopefully he works on these type of things otherwise he's just a poor man's Tammy Abraham.

Kaba is a player that will get better as the season goes on. ATM he is blowing air out of his arse by half time and his contribution seems to dip sharply in the second half. Etete is getting better and better and the best of him is some way off yet but is destined to be a player at this level for me.

Spot on with both.

Hope he can get on to a few more of these crosses which seem to be going in of late .

I've noticed with his headers, he's not between the posts, so it's hard to score headers from the side, when he really is in the right position, between the posts he has the whole goal, and either side of the keeper to aim for.

I like him though has an energy about him, all four main strikers will improve as they get used to playing alongside each other!

I don’t think we’d need to send him out on loan. I think he could develop with us, given the right coaching (which hopefully Lamouchi’s experience will account for). Although there isn’t a huge amount of quality, he is arguably our brightest striker at the moment (aside from Robinson) so I think it would make more sense to loan out someone like Etete than our brightest striker (bar Rob).

In saying that, Etete seems to have perked up with the arrival of Kaba, too. If we can stay up and get 1 or 2 decent strikers through the door in the summer then we could look a lot better.
