MY VIEW:

SO THE GOOD FOOTBALL HAS GONE / BUT IT DOES NOT MATTER BECAUSE WHAT REALLY MATTERS IS 3PTS & FINALLY A GOAL :bluebird: :bluebird: :bluebird:

CELEBRATIONS / PLAYERS & FANS AMAZING :bluebird: :bluebird: :bluebird:

NG & ROBINSON GET THE GOALS :thumbright: :bluebird: :bluebird:

FIRST WIN FOR CARDIFF IN 3 & HALF MONTHS :bluebird: :bluebird:

For me you could see why both clubs have struggled this season, Two very poor sides.

City never stopped, never gave up and absolutely deserved these 3pts :bluebird: :bluebird:

Last 8mins, it was all Brum, but City held firm :bluebird:

CARDIFF CITY'S 2ND WIN IN THEIR LAST 15 GAMES.

READING HOME NEXT / 3PTS PLEASE CITY :bluebird: :bluebird:

FIRST-HALF: Played well, but still not testing the Brum goalie

First 25mins: Cardiff played well, not pretty but tougher :bluebird:

Not the best football, but Cardiff competing for everything :bluebird:

Cardiff had plenty of shots but not really testing Ruddy in the Brum goal.

Etete , Kaba, McGuinness and O'Dowda all played really well :bluebird:

SECOND-HALF: The football continued to be dire.

68th min, Close! Kaba volleyed from Wintle's cross - it's just over the bar! best chance so far.

72nd Min: Brum made 4 subs.

Cardiff 3 subs:

Etete, Kaba and Romeo off.

Wickham, Robinson and Philogene on.

Lovely deft touch from Robinson flicks the ball into the box. Wickham spins and gets a low shot off -but it's saved.

First shot at their goalie, 74th min :bluebird:

GOAL! Birmingham City 0-1 Cardiff City (Ng 84) :bluebird: :bluebird:
FREE-KICK IS IN!
Perry Ng whips it top bins. What a strike son, what a strike. Twenty yards out. Postage stamp. I can't spayk. :bluebird: :bluebird: :bluebird:

Celebrations amazing :bluebird: :bluebird:

86th min: Ralls on for Rinomhota.

90th min, Brum missed an opener, unbelievable.

GOAL! Birmingham City 0-2 Cardiff City (Robinson 90+5) :bluebird: :bluebird:
GOAL! Robbo!!!

He slinks inside and out of three defenders before rifling home at the near post! :bluebird: :bluebird:

"good" football wasn't working. Lamouchi could see that and is starting to get his stamp on this side. Desperately needed and welcome win. The players loved that

What matters is we've finally won a match!

First win in 15 games, hopefully will be the start of us starting to move away from the bottom three.

Brilliant goal by Perry Ng and a great run and finish by Callum Robinson to complete the win.

Get in!

Thank Christ for that.

We did to them what too many have done to us; and it was a welcome relief...!

For me, it shows Lamouchi is having an effect and Friday's home game (ko 8pm) gives us the opportunity to build on tonight

For me, the introduction of Kaba and Etete from the start worked and each put in a display that augs well for the battles ahead... :ayatollah:

Great celebrations after both goals. All the players celebrated with Lamouchi after the 1st goal that's good to see.

In fairness, it is very difficult to play good football on that pitch.

We dominated for long periods without creating.

One final thought, I think Etete is improving, holds the ball up, is a nuisance. I think a full seaon and pre-season and we could have a decent player, his only 21. Seems to have improved his strength over the season.

Kaba three overhead kicks in 120mins of football

A very solid performance against a team that had won their last two games two nil against WBA and scored four against the Jacks, so six goals in two games.

Our keeper didn't need to make a save, twice as many shots four times as many on target a deserved solid win :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

I'm stuck in the middle of Small Heath as it was the only place I could find car parking. Its cram packed as there is some Jamaican festival going on. Looks like I'm here for the next hour.

I thought we dominated the game with a hard working display. it look like we were going to finally win our first point since Lamouchi took over. That showed in the away stand as we out sung the home fans who had nothing in them. That Ng free kick just stunned us all and there was that slight pause before we realised we had scored. Restart of the game we all reverted to biting our nails. We had not to worry because they did not look like getting a goal, although they started to dominate, but it was us who got the next goal. As we begged for the final whistle it strangely felt we were going to get that next goal.

The final whistle came and before I knew it I'm walking back to my car. I'm now sat on a wall waiting for the traffic to clear and I'm listening to this festive Carribean music feeling a lot better. I'm wise enough to know we need to build on this else it will mean nothing but for now I'll continue listening to this music without a care in the world.

We went back to basics tonight, doing the simple things well. Having a second striker allowed us to play more direct, advance into their half and peg them back.

I've got to credit the manager for his tactics and the way he set us up. Our team shape was excellent, compact, no open gaps, players backing each other up. We were a nuisance in every area of the pitch competing. We didn't give them any time to settle and they had to take the frustrated Hannibal off before he got sent off.

Etete and Kaba worked their socks off and a fresh Robinson was able to capitalise at the end. A great team performance and a massive step in the right direction. For the first time in a long time, I'm looking forward to our next match.

I asked my wife what she wanted for Valentine's day and she said, I'll give you a clue, they used to play in goals for England. We've just had an argument as it turned out she actually meant Flowers, not Seaman I'll get my coat.
