Can you get ejected for sleeping during a match?

Sun Feb 12, 2023 11:10 am

A steward in the Grange side of the Ninian stand told a fan who was having a snooze near me to stay awake or the police may remove him from the ground.
Now I know our football is not very exciting this season, with a lack of goals, but this seemed a bit harsh!

If the Boro fans hadn't been so loud, I may have joined him. :laughing6:

That would be one for debate if it did happen.

The answer is no but if the steward felt that someone had a heart attack or something similar then the steward has a right to investigate by calling the Police/Medical staff.

He wasn't even the first that we have photographic evidence of. There was a picture on here a while ago of someone sleeping in the black & white days, one of Nukes ancestors no doubt.

Here's the black and white photo

Walesonline got the date wrong though, it wasn't 1965, it was april 1975, last game of the season against Bolton, we lost 1-2 and were relegated to the old division three.
