Joe Ralls held out and got £15k per week (two-yea

Sun Feb 12, 2023 8:37 am

Joe Ralls held out and got £15k per week (two-year deal) last summer.

The only clubs that showed any interest in the midfielder came from League One - Bristol City had a sniff, but refused to match what Cardiff paid him.

If a Championship club had come in with any gusto Ralls would have left.

Who made him captain? Can't justify a place in the starting line up - injuries have caught up with him. Mind you, he never has had any pace and can only play the way he is facing, can't take a ball and pass on the half turn.

He's sort of a legit Dick Turpin. If the club had one hundredth of Brentfords ambitions, he would have been binned when we were promoted.

£15.000 a week what a greedy useless joker. Hope someone takes him next season couldent stand another season of him. He knew he was past his best City should have let him go last season taken what was on offer got rid of him. He will do nothing to help the team get out of trouble just happy to fill his greedy pockets.

Jesus, I hope Joe doesn't read this, if I were in his shoes and read this, id just think F the lot of you, im sure he knows as well as every other player this season, that they have been well below par, but he's been a good player for this club and probably cares more than most.

This place has turned into the wild west of rumours and propaganda, a sticky :?

If you even knew of Ralls salary how would anyone except Joe and his agent know of the perspective inquiries, not a great negotiating tactic telling the club is it.

Its just poor form

Well said, he's clearly not at his best but does care for the club and has given his all over the years

Here you go again, MikeP; blatantly lying yesterday and (at best) showing ignorance today!

Show me where Joe hasn't put in a performance on the pitch or shown he cares nothing for our club? :?

He may not be the silkiest of players but he certainly puts in a shift, does a lot of the dirty stuff in midfield, and has five yellow cards to his name, mostly for robust tackles; only Wintle and Kipre have more...

Whilst I wouldn't necessarily play him in every game, I believe he has a big part to play this season; just as he did last season when our poor run coincided with his lengthy injury and ended with his return to action...

I seem to recall similar happening to Sean Morrison at one point (before his last injury), to...!

Another negative, shit-stirring thread from you, Ninian27. Sadly, no one will be surprised and your two amigos will surely be along in support of your latest anti-club bile soon. .

And as if by magic, then came along (not from) barnet blue with an equally embarrassing and sychophantic thread...

How the f**k can people say joe ralls doesn’t care about Cardiff and that he’s shit?
What a servant he’s been for all these years and yes I hope he doesn’t read all these negative shit posts about him , f*cking disgusting .
He’s been a good physical player and yes age is catching up with him but give him a break

Joe Ralls is loyal And loves the club, not a leader though, but is a good Championship player.

He’s been a great servant to the club but it was noticeable yesterday how he was off the pace. I wish others shared his effort though.

Personally think he should be club captain and then someone else captain on the pitch if it's still done nowadays. He's been a really good servant to the club and gives his all every game. Granted his best days are probably behind him but his effort won't wain and he wants to be here.
Solid player with something still to offer

Yet again on Saturday demonstrated why he is our captain. Asked to play out of position and did a decent job in the process. His commitment to the cause is undoubted. Contrast that to the display yesterday by Bruno Fernández the Man Utd captain. Simply gave up in the second half, didn't back track when needed and his body language a disgrace.

If the club and the player agree a salary then that’s for them to decide. What I dislike is when a player agrees to a contract then does naff all with their ability.

We can all argue the toss regarding joes ability. But what we can’t argue is his commitment. Last thing you can accuse him of is stealing a living. He’s a good guy. A good pro and a committed player.
