Wow: Glen Williams finally saying the truth
GLEN WILLIAMS:
Ultimately, Boro outclassed Cardiff. If Boro are the level, Cardiff are miles away from it.
Cut and paste this for most games this season, but Cardiff weren't terrible, they were just not good enough. And when they aren't good enough, they are losing instead of drawing/winning.

Boro a prime example of what we COULD have been.
Manager with a style, patience with results, BUILDING A PROJECT.
Cardiff City though, give up on a project within 2 months and wonder why we’re here.

Boro had the squad when we played them at their place but a manager who was getting it all wrong. Now they have the right manager and look like they will be the strong favourites in the play offs. If we got a similar level manager as them we would still end up in a relegation fight because simple our squad is not good enough.

Boro did not outclass us 2nd half , we had them on the ropes then the 3rd goal killed us , there 2nd was offside too.

Agree, squad just isn’t good enough, you can’t polish a turd! We don’t create enough chances. I think we’ll go down sadly obviously hope I’m wrong I just don’t see us winning enough to stay up

I agree. I thought the second half was the best we've played for a while but besides Kipres effort, we didn't trouble their keeper enough.
Not sure if their second was offside but Alsop was awful, it was his ball to claim.

I don't believe we haven't got the quality to get out of this mess. I still believe there is a team somewhere there and are capable of better.
Need a win to get some confidence

How and why should we score, what do we do well ?
Pass into the path of the striker? Not a key passer in the team. Stoppers and continuity passers
Crosses into the box ? Wingers can't cross and up to today no one to head it
Transition - No pace in the team
Set plays - Shocking delivery recently and it's all in the delivery. Giles proved that with Flinty, Giles left and so did our set play game
Morison set the squad up to play 343 with three at the back and wingbacks, we need to go back to that to have any chance

Agree with the 343 comment pal

If kipre’s header went in then it would be a different story and result . Played well 2nd half and new striker looks good and first goal in first home debut , there’s a win coming on Tuesday

1st half we were awful and hardly surprising given the fact we had Sawyers and Ralls in midfield.
We started the 2nd half better and once we brought Wintle and Rinomhota on we looked like a different team. Hopefully Lamouchi learnt from that.
I thought the new guy upfront looked handy and was even more impressed by Etete when he came on.
Disappointing result but I am slightly more optimistic after that 2nd half performance. It’s going to be a tense run in.
But you can start to see what the new manager is trying to do with the high press, high line, etc.

Tan has gambled that he can keep us merely "ticking over" in the Championship with minimal investment and a part time leadership trio. Himself, Dalman and Choo. Time will tell if his judgement is correct, but it's not looking good so far. Atleast we scored today. Birmingham now massive.
