Aston Villa open to selling Philogene this summer

Cardiff winger Jaden Philogene will be one of a number of players Aston Villa will look to offload in the summer, according to BirminghamLive.



The youngster, who turned 21 yesterday , has shown flashes of real potential during his time with the Bluebirds and has chipped in with a couple of goals, too.


However, he, along with most of City's attacking stable, has failed to produce the goods consistently enough this season.

And reports in the Midlands claim that Villa boss Unai Emery has decided that Philogene will be one of several players who will allowed to leave Villa Park this summer, should the right bid come in. It claims Villa want to add at least one wide player in the summer, with Philogene likely the one to be pushed out.


Philogene has another season left on his Villa contract, which, at present, rules Cardiff out of the running somewhat should they want to sign him permanently. The Bluebirds are still unable to pay transfer fees for players owing to an EFL ruling.
