Harry Kane broke the Tottenham Hotspur goalscoring record today in their 1-0 win over Manchester City, getting his 267th goal for the club.
It also took him to 200 Premier League goals. Third on the list behind Wayne Rooney (208) and Alan Shearer (260).
There was a decent debate on Sky Sports after the game between Graeme Souness, Micah Richards and Jamie Carragher.
They all agreed that it was probably between Shearer and Kane for who was the better player and more fearsome for defenders to face. Souness and Richards both said Shearer while Carragher said Kane.
Personally I think Alan Shearer. As said on Sky, he used to be able to score all sorts of different goals and most defenders would probably not want to go up against him instead of Harry Kane.
Just thought it would be an interesting debate on here as it seems likely that Harry Kane will at some point break Shearer's record in the Premier League era.
