Full week's training

Sun Feb 05, 2023 10:32 am

Don't get me wrong, I'm worried and not happy at all with our situation at the moment. Same as every other city fan.

Some fans are being very hasty about Sabri already, which is nerves, its understandable. But now we can have a full week of training under him. Hopefully start to get some things in place within his philosophy aswell as obviously working on some things.

Middlesbrough is obviously going to be a tough game, whether we will get anything remains to be seen. But there are games coming up that we still can get points from.

We just need to get behind them that's all we can do. Its not over untill its over, c'mon the boys :bluebird:

More than happy with his appointment and am prepared to give him a fair crack at rescuing our season.
I just hope he’s given an uninterrupted free reign to do his thing.
It’s early days and he’s not had much time to assess players etc, but I was a little surprised that he chose to play Robinson as a lone striker, when it’s blatantly obvious to anyone who’s seen City that he’s not one. We play with very little width and therefore rarely cross the ball from out wide. When we do clear the ball, he’s physically unable to prevent it coming straight back into danger. Perhaps Sory will have more luck.
I see Robinson more as an annoying 10.

………………………..Allsop………..…..…….……
…..…Kipre…….McGuinness……Simpson…..
……………..…………Wintle………….………………
Philogene/Ojo.….Rinomhota……O’Dowda
……………………....Robinson……………..……….
…………………Kaba………Davies/Etete…………

Yes we are weaker at the back, but we need to start finding the net to have any hope of staying up.
Discuss…

Only change I’d make to that is Ng playing instead of Simpson.

We have players we just need to find the right mix. That XI also allows Davies and Colwill to come on later.

I’m still amazed that we’re in this position with this squad, my biggest worry now is whether we have the fighters for a relegation battle. I think McGuinness will be huge for us in that respect, what was Morison thinking when he loaned him out !!?? Almost as bad as McCarthy loaning out Wintle !!

Yes I did question Simpson, but think Ng is weak in the air.
Perhaps Ralls??? Certainly gives his all. Not ideal but we need battlers.

Ralls has about as much pace as me …………. and I’m 58 !!!!

He’d get murdered as one of 3 CBs or as left back as others have suggested !! His time in the Championship was up by the end of last season, this season he’s just so out of his depth it’s untrue !!
