CCTV obtained by WalesOnline shows outdoor bar chairs and stools being thrown and items lobbed as the incident escalates in the city centre, with some chairs hitting as high as outdoor canopy shelters.
Onlookers reported clashes between rival fans in Newport. County had beaten Swindon Town 2-1 on Saturday. Bar staff can be seen in the footage trying to remove outdoor furniture from the reach of those throwing them with police entering the footage as they bid to put an end to the incident.
