Sabri Lamouchi says Cardiff City now 'have to panic' if they are to get out of their 's**t position' at the heart of the Championship relegation battle.

The Bluebirds' relegation worries were deepened by a 1-0 defeat to Hull City on Saturday, their third straight league defeat


It's also the first time in 15 years Cardiff have gone 13 games without a win in all competitions, and the mood round the capital is looking increasingly gloomy.

The Bluebirds are now just two points ahead of the relegation zone, with teams below them having the luxury of a game in hand, and Lamouchi pulled no punches in his post-match assessment.

"It's very simple," he said. "Frustration, disappointment. Second game, second loss, one down. So we are close. But at the end we lost three points. We didn't deserve it I think. If you open the scoring first it's a different game, but we said that the last game.

"It's not enough. We must be more aggressive in the two boxes. The goal is because we lost the duel. We created the chance, but not enough to come back."

Asked if there was any panic in the camp, he admitted: "We have to panic. We have to panic. Sometimes if you care about something you can play without any thinking in your mind.

"So just run, fight and do what you have to do. We have to panic because the situation is not comfortable. I know they are all aware of the situation, so this is very important. We have 16 games [left]. I don't want to start late. I talk to the players and they know the situation. So we must find a solution.

"We played much better than the last time. It's just one goal. One more. But one more loss. We need to be more aggressive in the two boxes and we need to change our mentality to approach the game and need to be more of a killer.

"So don't give anything to anyone because nobody is going to give us a gift, or a point, or a goal. So we need to work all together and the message for the fans is that we know where we are.

"It's not my fault. It's not the players' fault, it's OUR fault. We are where we are. We don't deserve to be where we are, but we're in this s*** position and we need to work together to get out of this position.

"All together."

One small positive was a debut off the bench for new signing Sory Kaba, who would have surely opened his account were it not for Hull goalkeeper Matt Ingram late on.

And Lamouchi hopes there's more to come from the new boy.

"It's good to have a different opportunity," he said. "Tall strong, and it was the first 35, 40 minutes with a new team, new club, new partner. He created one chance and he will be better next week."

We need a bit of fight, Philogene and Ojo need to be replaced for O'Dowda and Robinson with Etete and Kaba up top, Ralls and Rinomhota with a flat back four

I thought Philogene was not far off our best player and Ojo is the only player to carry the ball forward from midfield. Sawyers is getting better, far better option than Ralls. All opinions though.

I'd rather talk football opinions than all the other stuff, so am all for having counter views

IMO they all have moments but very little important stuff, they are all nearly players. When it counts Ojo always fails, its not effort, or skill its composure.
Philogen is a freak of a player, he got the penalty, but how many crosses or key passes? He holds onto the ball forever and its always too long.
Sawyers doesn't do enough "good" to compensate his lack of mobility, he get passed around too often.

We have tried pretty and its harder than the coaches manual show, we need to beef it up and go physical

Spot on mate hardest I've seen Ojo work with this season.

Sabri Lamouchi has woken up now saying this. He is clueless and a other cheap option. He lost his job at Forest of the playoffs and since he left them what was he doing before taking this job on ?

Personally I feel for the guy, mess was here long before he was appointed. Got given a striker he knew nothing about and is expected to produce something with the shit we have. I'll be impressed if he keeps us up
